Made me smile when I saw Diane's name - so many fun and wonderful memories come to mind, mostly from Junior High. Sorry to hear of hear passing, but so glad I had the chance to have her in my life.
Diane was my next door neighbor. She was the sister I never had. We spent so much time together throughout elementary and junior high years. We played board games nightly and watched The Beatles on Ed Sullivan together. We gave each other more space during high school but still took each other to dances. We continued to stay in touch with each other into adulthood. I would see her from time to time when I would be in Arizona. I loved her spirit, her smile and her energy. She was so upbeat. I am so grateful that our lives intertwined.
I am sad to see the names of all our deceased classmates especially Diane Danakas. We had so much fun at HPHS. We saw Janis Joplin at Ravinia in I think 1971. I loved her spirit and her mom and dad were really great! Rest in peace my friend!
